about

"In 2011, Le Petit Mignon co-organised the festival "Angura - Experimental Music and Art from Japan" (Berlin). For this occasion, Daisuke Ichiba and Yasutoshi Yoshida were invited to show their artworks at Staalplaat store, where, while both artists live in the same area in Tokyo, they actually met personally for the first time. Yoshida, more well-known in the experimental electronic and noise scene for his musical output as Government Alpha than his outstanding collages, improvised a set during the exhibition opening. Blown away by his performance, Ichiba asked Yoshida to introduce him to electronic devices and instruments. Back in Tokyo, they started to hang out and play music together. The project Hedoromeruhen was then born. Ichiba, who's mostly active in the underground visual art scene and whose work has been published by the renowned French screen printing studio Le Dernier Cri, had also been playing and singing folk songs for a while. On "The Cat", he plays acoustic guitar while Yoshida adds electronic sounds, the whole immersing into some absorbing and slightly turbulent psychedelic avant-folk, led by Ichiba's poetic, grotesque and metaphorical lyrics.
H is the head of British zamzamrec label and Le Petit Mignon was introduced to her musical cosmos during a great evening at L'Écurie, Geneva, as what we still consider as our non-official closing night after the 2012 edition of the mighty micro-publishing festival Le Monstre. Her set was absolutely stunning and La Vague presents the similar sonic ingredients that moved us so much that night. Drony peaceful yet volatile electronic sounds, cavernous lo-fi loops and enchanting bells echoing in a sea of shooting stars.
This new edition is limited to 200 copies, white vinyl housed in a gorgeous two-sided multi panel fold-out art print, hand-stamped and numbered. Completely freaky and amazing artwork by Alkbazz, printed at Le Garage L."
